MapleReady
Privacy policy
Effective October 1, 2026. Version 1.1 adds nonpersonalized advertising when Apple tracking is declined. Version 1.0 builds 5–7 disable advertising when tracking is declined; earlier TestFlight builds used regional consent without Apple’s tracking prompt.
Kasabeh Technology, Toronto, Canada, develops MapleReady for iPhone. This policy covers the app, including TestFlight builds, and information you send us about it.
Study information on your device
MapleReady saves completed lessons, flashcard recall history, review schedules and completed practice-test results on your device. You do not need an account. We do not operate a server that receives this study progress, and we do not send your answers or recall scores to advertising services.
The app does not request your immigration status or documents, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location. The app’s educational content can be used offline.
Advertising and consent services
MapleReady includes Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Banners may appear on completed lessons, practice summaries and test results. Version 1.1 may also show an occasional full-screen ad when you leave a completed lesson or return to a main study screen after at least two minutes of active flashcard or test practice. Eligible breaks have a one-in-three chance of showing a preloaded ad, with at least three minutes between full-screen ads and no daily cap. The first two new lesson completions are exempt from lesson-break full-screen ads. Background time does not count toward study-session eligibility. Ads do not interrupt reading, active questions or timed tests. Development and TestFlight builds use Google’s demo ad units.
At the first study-break placement, MapleReady requests Apple’s tracking permission if the choice has not been made. Google’s regional consent flow runs before advertising is requested. In version 1.1, declining or restricting Apple tracking does not turn off all ads: Google’s SDK omits IDFA, and ad requests disable personalization and publisher first-party ID. Ads are requested only when Google’s current consent state permits them. We do not send study answers or recall scores to Google, and we do not substitute another identifier to bypass an Apple tracking refusal. Learning remains available when consent or ad services cannot load. Test ads do not mean that no data is processed.
Google’s SDKs may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device or app identifiers, app and advertising interactions, crash information, performance data and other diagnostics. Uses include ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, analytics and service operation. Processing depends on your choices, device settings and Google’s services. When you allow Apple tracking, Google may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad measurement across apps and websites. Nonpersonalized ads still involve data processing.
Read Google’s privacy policy, how Google uses information from apps using its services, and Google’s iOS advertising data disclosures.
Your choices
You can change Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings; the Progress tab includes a shortcut. In version 1.1, revoking permission removes IDFA access and cached ads are discarded before new ad requests; nonpersonalized ads may continue when regional consent permits them. In version 1.0 builds 5–7, revoking permission turns off further advertising. Where applicable, UMP presents regional privacy choices before ads are requested. Reopen available choices through “Ad privacy options” in the Progress tab. The choices shown depend on your region and the service’s configuration. Learning remains available regardless of your choices.
Use “Reset study progress” in the Progress tab to remove your saved study history, or delete the app. Device backups are managed separately through Apple. Advertising and consent records held by Google are governed by Google’s privacy controls and policies.
Support and beta feedback
If you email us, we receive your email address and any message, attachments or device details you provide. We use them to answer you, investigate problems and improve MapleReady. Please do not send immigration documents, passwords or sensitive personal information.
Apple operates TestFlight and may provide us with beta feedback, screenshots, crash reports and testing information under its services and settings. See Apple’s privacy information.
Sharing, retention and security
Google and its service partners process advertising and consent data under their policies. Apple processes TestFlight information under its policies. Our email and service providers may process support correspondence outside your province or country. We do not sell your saved study progress.
Local progress remains until you reset it or remove the app. We retain support correspondence as needed to address requests, maintain support records and meet applicable obligations. Google and Apple determine retention for their services. We use reasonable safeguards, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Questions and requests
Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete information you provided to Kasabeh Technology. We may need to verify your request and explain information we cannot delete or do not control. Parents or guardians can use the same address for concerns about information a child provided.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or release notes.
